브레이크뉴스 문홍철 기자= 현대자동차가 해외 우수 대학의 글로벌 인재 확보에 적극적으로 나선다.
현대차는 지난 3일부터 이틀간 해외 우수 대학 박사 과정 인재를 대상으로 ‘현대 비전 컨퍼런스(Hyundai Vision Conference)를 개최했다고 5일 밝혔다.
현대 비전 컨퍼런스는 현대차가 최초로 해외 대학 박사과정 인재들을 국내로 초청하여 실시한 글로벌 채용행사다. 총 12개국에 달하는 다양한 국적의 북미∙유럽 우수 대학의 미래핵심 기술 분야(AI, AAM, 자율주행, 로보틱스, 친환경) 박사 과정 인재 및 해당 분야의 현대차 임직원 총 100여명이 참석했다.
현대차는 이번 행사에 앞서 북미 주요대학을 직접 방문해 설명회와 직무상담을 진행하는 한편, 온라인 네트워크를 활용해 지원자를 모집했고 연구분야 적합성 및 개인 커리어 비전 등을 고려해서 참가자를 선정했다.
3일에는 삼성동 그랜드 인터컨티넨탈 파르나스 호텔에서 현대차 대표이사 장재훈 사장과 AAM본부장 신재원 사장의 환영사를 시작으로 현대차에 재직중인 각 분야별 임원급 기술 리더들과 실무진들의 비전 및 전략 발표가 진행됐다.
아울러 참가자들과 부서별 직원들 간의 채용 질의응답과 사전에 선정된 각 분야별 참가자가 본인의 연구분야와 성과에 대해 소개하고 공유하는 시간도 가졌다.
4일에는 현대차 기술 체험을 테마로 참가자들이 현대차 남양연구소에 방문해 △미래 모빌리티 컨셉 모델 △제네시스 사운드 아키텍처 △수소트럭 VR 등 미래 신기술을 체험했고 이어서 현대차 브랜드를 경험할 수 있는 현대모터스튜디오도 견학했다.
더불어 현대차는 5일에 별도 희망자에 한해서 현대차 의왕연구소에 위치한 로보틱스랩 투어도 실시했다.
현대차 관계자는 “미래 모빌리티 산업의 빠른 변화에 대응하기 위해서는 우수한 인재를 선점하는 것이 무엇보다 중요하다”며 ”앞으로 현대차 미래비전과 기술력을 널리 알려 글로벌 우수 인재 채용에 적극적으로 나설 것이다”고 말했다.
