Recruitment keywords ‘M∙S∙M’ in the first half of this year..Bank and financial industries declined
Break News Reporter Moon Hong-cheol= M∙S∙M (medical, service, manufacturing chemistry) was selected as the keyword for recruitment in the first half of this year.
According to Sarain on the 8th, as a result of analyzing job postings on its site, the number of job postings in the first half of this year increased by 25.5% compared to the first half of last year. In particular, the ‘medical/pharmaceutical/welfare’, ‘service’, and ‘manufacturing chemicals’ industries recorded the highest growth rates.
Earlier this year, Omicron was popular, and in March, the number of COVID-19 cases hit an all-time high. As a result, the number of job postings in the field of 'medical/pharmaceutical/welfare' in the first half of the year increased by 35.9% compared to the same period last year.
The industry that followed was the service industry, which increased by 34.2%. It is analyzed that employment in the service industry has increased as the contraction in consumption due to the corona has eased somewhat in the first half of this year.
Even in the service industry, the ‘wedding, funeral, and event’ sector increased by 89.3%, nearly doubling. It seems that demand for events such as weddings that could not be held due to social distancing has increased.
In addition, as consumer sentiment, which had contracted so far, recovered, the 'hotel, travel, and aviation' sector increased by 66.3%. In fact, as the airline industry resumes operations, T'way Air and others are carrying out large-scale recruitment. Asiana Airlines and Korean Air also recruited through ad-hoc recruitment earlier. Lodging companies such as Lotte Resort and Kensington Hotels & Resorts also recruited in July, the peak season.
The field with the highest number of job postings after the service industry was ‘manufacturing and chemistry’ (26.3%). Looking more closely, the number of job postings increased mainly in 'shipbuilding/aviation/space' (62.7%), 'semiconductor/optics/LCD' (31.1%), and 'machinery/equipment/automobile' (29.6%).
'Institutions/associations' (24.8%), 'media/design' (24.5%), 'sales/distribution' (22.6%), 'construction industry' (22.3%), 'IT/web/communications' (19.4%) , 'education industry' (18.4%) showed an increase rate of more than 20% in most cases.
On the other hand, the only industry where the number of job postings decreased was the banking and finance industry (-3.4%). As the digital transformation of financial services is in full swing, the size of the recruitment itself seems to have been reduced.
