브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 우상호 더불어민주당 비상대책위원장은 22일 "정치보복 수사에 올인하는 정권을 국민들이 외면하게 될 거라는 점을 강력 경고한다"고 밝혔다.
우상호 비대위원장은 이날 오전 국회에서 열린 비대위 회의에서 "일관되게 권력기관 장악에 너무 몰두하게 될 경우에 그것이 정치보복 수사로 이어질 것이라 경고했는데 현실화하고 있다"며 이같이 말했다.
그는 "정치보복 수사에 올인하는 정권을 국민들이 외면하게 될 것이라는 점을 경고하면서 민주당은 강력하게 투쟁해 나가겠다"고 강조했다.
우 비대위원장은 윤석열 대통령이 홍보수석에 김은혜 전 의원을 임명한 데 대해선 "지지율이 20%대로 추락한 원인을 제대로 분석해서 새로운 대안을 낼 것으로 기대했었다"면서 "그러나 결국 인적 쇄신이 아니라 측근 보강에 그치고 있다"고 꼬집었다.
그는 "김은혜 홍보수석 임명은 쇄신이라고 볼 수가 없지 않느냐"며 "멀쩡하게 일 잘하던 최영범 수석을 김은혜 수석을 다시 기용하기 위해서 내치는 모습이 어이가 없다"고 했다.
이어 그는 "우리가 그동안 홍보수석을 바꾸라고 말한 적 없다. 인사라인, 대통령실을 제대로 관리하지 못한 문제들을 고치라 한 것"이라며 "홍보수석을 교체하는 것을 보면 엉뚱한 처방을 내리고 있다고 지적할 수밖에 없다"고 말했다.
그러면서 "진단이 잘못돼 처방이 잘못되면 병은 고쳐지지 않는다. 가볍게 고칠 수 있는 병을 수술대로 끌고 가는 느낌이 들어 걱정된다"고 덧붙였다.
