브레이크뉴스 문홍철 기자= 한화디펜스(대표이사 손재일)가 폴란드와 'K9 자주포 수출 1차 실행계약'을 체결했다고 29일 밝혔다.
한화디펜스는 지난 26일 폴란드 모롱크시 소재 기계화부대에서 폴란드 정부와 K9 자주포, 155미리 탄약류 등을 공급하는 3조 2000억원 규모의 계약을 체결했다.
계약식에는 한화디펜스 손재일 대표이사와 폴란드 마리우시 브와슈차크(Mariusz Blaszczak) 부총리 겸 국방부장관, 엄동환 방위사업청장, 유동준 국방부 전력자원관리실장, 폴란드 국영 방산업체 PGZ사 세바스찬 추와크(Sebastian Chwalek) 회장 등이 참석했다.
이번 계약은 지난 7월 27일에 맺은 'Framework 계약'을 토대로 수출 대상 장비의 수량과 금액, 납품 시기 등을 구체적으로 확정하는 '1차 실행계약'으로, 한화디펜스는 2026년까지 폴란드에 K9 자주포를 순차적으로 납품하게 된다.
이번 계약은 전체 Framework 계약 범위 중 일부만 확정한 것인데도 K9 자주포 수출 역사상 가장 큰 규모다.
또한 '2차 실행계약'도 앞두고 있어서 현재 52% 수준인 K9 자주포의 글로벌 자주포 수출시장 점유율은 더욱 높아질 전망이다.

한화디펜스는 앞서 NATO 회원국인 튀르키예, 폴란드, 노르웨이, 에스토니아와 자주포 공급 계약을 체결한 바 있으며 NATO 동맹의 핵심인 영국과 미국의 자주포 사업에도 도전장을 낸 상태다.
한화디펜스 이부환 해외사업본부장은 "K9 자주포는 전 세계 9개 국가가 사용하는 가장 기술력이 검증된 자주포 솔루션이며, 특히 유럽국가들을 중심으로 'K9 유저클럽'이 만들어질 정도로 폭넓은 신뢰를 얻고 있다"며 "향후 NATO가 신뢰할 수 있는 핵심 파트너로서의 입지와 역량을 더욱 강화해 나갈 것"이라고 밝혔다.

Hanwha Defense signs contract to supply 3.2 trillion won K9 self-propelled artillery to Poland
