대전시가 현장 중심의 외국인 투자유치를 위해 8월 31일부터 9월 3일까지 일산 킨텍스에서 열리는 ‘이차전지 소재·부품·장비 전시회(K-BATTERY SHOW)’에 참가하여 투자유치 활동을 벌인다고 밝혔다.
이번 전시회는 한국소재·복합재료 및 장비전(K-Mtech)과 수소산업 분야 전문 전시회(H2 MEET)가 동시에 개최되며, 국내·외 150여 개 기업이 참가한다.
시는 행사장 내 별도의 상담 부스를 설치하고 소재·부품·장비 등 대전시 타깃 업종을 대상으로 기업별 1:1 맞춤형 투자 상담 서비스를 제공할 계획이다.
전시회를 방문한 국내·외 관련 업계 종사자 및 관계자들에게 대전시 투자환경을 소개하고 홍보영상 상영 및 각종 홍보물 배부 등을 통해 ‘기업하기 좋은 도시 대전’를 홍보할 예정이다.
한편 대전시는 올해 최초로‘관내 유망중소기업 해외투자 유치 활동 지원사업’을 추진하여 기업의 투자유치 활동을 지원하고 있다.
올해 해외투자 유치를 희망하는 관내 유망중소기업 15개를 선정하여 외국인 투자유치 전문교육, 기업컨설팅, 홍보자료 작성, 투자상담회 참여 등을 지원했다.
대전시는 코로나19로 인해 현장 유치 활동이 어려웠던 기간에도 관내·외 기업에 홍보물을 발송하며 대전시 투자환경 및 단지형 외국인 투자지역을 적극 홍보했다.
이러한 노력은 지난 8월 29일 투자협약을 체결하며 외국인투자기업 3개 사와 둔곡지구 국제과학비즈니스벨트 내 단지형 외국인 투자지역에 25백만불(약 330억 원) 규모의 투자를 유치하는 성과로 이어졌다.
