[브레이크뉴스=정철규 기자]남자농구 국가대표 이대성 선수가 사천시 홍보대사로 위촉된다.
이대성 선수는 국가대표 농구선수로서 농구도시인 사천시와 이미지가 부합하고 모친이 선구동에 거주함에 따라 지역 연대감 또한 강하다.
특히 2016년부터 매년 경로 행사 개최, 저소득층 장학금, 코로나19 격려품 전달 등 남다른 고향사랑을 펼쳐오고 있어, 지역 주민들의 칭송이 자자하다.
사천시는 앞으로 이대성 선수를 행사 홍보 영상촬영, 농구교실, 팬싸인회, 개인SNS 등을 통한 지역의 문화, 예술, 관광명소 홍보에 적극 활용할 예정이다.

입단 당시 국내신인선수 드래프트에서 전체 11순위 2라운드 1순위로 울산 현대모비스에 지명됐다.
