[브레이크뉴스=정철규 기자] 한국서예협회 진주지부(지부장 빈정심)는 2일부터 8일까지 진주 남강야외둔치에서 제34회 한국서예협회 진주지부전과 제32회 경상남도 학생서예대전 수상작 전시회를 개최한다.
7일간 야외에서 진행되는 이번 전시에서 진주지부 회원 작품 130여 점과 지난 6월 ‘녹색환경, 탄소중립’이란 부제로 진행된 경남학생서예대전(대회장 이영춘) 수상작 160여 점을 선보인다.
전시회 이튿날인 3일 열린 개전식에서는 30m 길이의 대형 광목천에 학생, 기관장, 서예인 등 15명이 함께하는 서예 휘호 퍼포먼스와 학생서예대전 시상식이 진행됐다.

빈정심 지부장은 “올해도 누구나 쉽고 편하게 서예 작품을 감상하고 즐길 수 있도록 진주지부의 정기전시회를 야외에서 진행한다”며 “진주 최고의 명소인 남강을 배경으로 열리는 서예인들의 축제에 많은 관심을 부탁드린다”고 말했다.
조규일 진주시장은 “이번 전시를 통해 전통문화의 정신적 가치를 되새기고 서예 문화를 계승·발전시켜 나가는 소중한 시간이 되었으면 한다”면서 “앞으로도 진주가 진한 묵향 가득한 문화예술의 도시로서 그 위상을 드높일 수 있도록 붓과의 아름다운 동행이 계속 이어지기를 바란다”고 말했다.
