이념 사회를 재단(裁斷)할 때, 여러 가지로 나뉜다. 큰 틀에서 보며 다음과 같다. 중도(中道)를 가운데 두고 오른쪽으로 중도 우파, 우파, 극우파로 나뉜다. 또 중도를 가운데 두고 중도 좌파, 좌파, 극좌파로 분류한다. 오늘날 대한민국 사회는 이념적으로 어떤 형태일까?
국민의힘 보좌진협의회 제4대 김종수 회장은 지난 8월13일 “국민의 힘 보좌진 협의회 성명문” 제목의 성명을 발표했다. 국민의힘 보좌진협의회는 여당의 의원들을 보좌하는 보좌진들의 연합체인 모양이다. 이 단체에 속한 이들은 집권 여당의 핵심인재랄 수 있다. 이 성명서는 현재 정치판의 구도를 우파 대 좌파로 구분하고 있는 듯하다.

이 성명의 내용을 자세하게 들여다보면, 위와 같이 좌파 언론의 해악을 열거하고 있다. 성명 중에는 “극소수를 제외하고는 좌파 진영들의 인적구성으로 그대로 운영되고, 그 사람들이 편집하여 방송까지 하고 있다.”고, 단언(斷言)하고 있다. 꼭 그러할까? 대한민국의 언론을 “극소수를 제외하고는 좌파 진영”으로 모는 것은 너무 편향(偏向)된 주장이다. “천만의 말씀”이다. 다수의 언론 매체가 있으니 이념의 성향으로 재단하면, 그런 류(類)가 존재하는 것도 사실이다. 하지만, 중도(中道)를 견지하려는 언론매체가 많음을 알았으면 한다. 시각의 교정(矯正)이 필요하다.

국민의힘 보좌진협의회가 윤석열 정부의 초기 업적을 위와 같이 소개하는 것까지는 이해를 한다. 우파정부. 자파(自派)세력이니까, 좋게 평가하는 것은 당연한 일이다. 그러나, 대다수 언론매체를 좌파로 모는 것은 지양(止揚)했으면 한다. 편향(偏向)이 얼마나 나쁜지는 설명하지 않아도 상식으로 알 수 있을 테니까.
