[브레이크뉴스=정철규 기자] 진주시는 오는 7일부터 내달 7일까지 ‘2022년 임업·산림 공익직접지불금(임업직불금)’ 추가신청을 받는다고 5일 밝혔다.
올해 처음 시행되는 임업직불금제는 임업·산림의 공익기능 증진과 임업인의 낮은 소득을 보전하기 위해 임업직불제법에서 정한 자격을 갖춘 임업인에게 매년 직불금을 지급하는 제도다.
올해 임업직불금은 지난 2019년 4월 1일부터 오는 30일까지 임업경영체 등록을 완료하고 산지에서 임업을 실제 경영하고 있는 임업인과 농업법인을 지급대상으로 한다.
이번 추가신청은 지난 신청기간(지난 7월 1일~8월 1일)에 접수하지 못했거나, 신청기한 이후인 오는 30일까지 임업경영체에 등록해 신청 기한을 놓친 경우 직불금 혜택을 받을 수 있도록 하기 위한 조치다.
임업직불금을 신청하려는 임업인은 추가 신청기간 동안 임업직불금 등록신청서와 관련 서류를 산지 소재지 읍·면·동사무소로 방문제출 해야 한다.
이번 신청이 완료되면 자격요건 검증을 통해 11월까지 대상자를 확정하고 의무사항 이행점검을 통해 최종 금액을 산정해 오는 12월에 지급할 예정이다.
진주시 관계자는 “아직 임업경영체 등록을 완료하지 않은 임업인은 오는 30일까지 꼭 등록을 완료하고, 추가신청기간 내 반드시 신청해 달라”고 당부했다
