군에 따르면‘풍수해 생활권 종합정비사업’은 자연재해저감종합계획 및 위험지역으로 지정·고시된 지역 중 해일·침수·붕괴·유실 등 대규모 피해가 우려되어 종합정비가 필요한 지역을 선정하고 부처별 단위 시설물에 대한 단편적인 계획이 아닌 지역단위로 일괄 정비하는 생활권 중심사업이다.
앞서 군은 지난 3월‘후포지구 풍수해 생활권 종합정비사업’사업계획서를 행안부에 제출했고, 4월 행안부 발표심사와 현장실사 등을 거쳐 9월 사업대상지로 최종 선정됐다.
‘후포지구 풍수해 생활권 종합정비사업’은 2023년부터 기본 및 실시설계를 시행하여 2025년 준공 목표로, 3년간 총사업비 414억 원을 투입해 삼율천 하천정비, 해안가 파도막이 설치, 급경사지 정비 등 후포면 일원 재해취약지역을 종합적으로 정비할 계획이다.
손병복 울진군수는“후포지구 풍수해 종합정비사업을 통해 기후변화로 대형화되는 태풍 및 집중호우 피해로부터 체계적이고 종합적으로 대처하여 군민의 생명과 재산보호에 최선을 다하겠다”고 밝혔다.
