브레이크뉴스 문홍철 기자= 농협 상호금융예금자보호기금(관리기관 농협중앙회)은 7일 보도자료를 통해 ‘예금보험금 산출 시스템에 관한 BM(Business Method)특허’를 상호금융권 최초로 획득했다고 밝혔다.
농협은 ‘농업협동조합의 구조개선에 관한 법률’에 따라 1115개 농축협의 예금자보호기금을 운영하고 있다. 해당 특허는 예금등채권의 지급정지 등 관련법에 따른 보험사고가 발생하였을 경우, 보험금 산출 소요시간을 1영업일 이내로 단축하는 방법과 해당 기술 활용에 관한 것이다.
해당 특허기술을 적용하면 빅데이터 플랫폼을 통해 농축협의 금융정보를 효율적으로 처리해 보험금을 신속하게 지급할 수 있게 돼 금융거래 중지에 따른 고객 불편을 최소화 하는 등 농‧축협 금융소비자의 권익 향상에 크게 기여할 것으로 기대된다.
