[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 김해시는 17일 NH농협은행 김해시지부에서 2,000만원 상당의 지역 도예상품을 구매해 생활자기를 기부 프로젝트에 기탁했다고 밝혔다.
NH농협은행 김해시지부는 지난해 이 프로젝트 1호 기부에 이어 이번에 3호 기부자가 되었으며, 2호 기부자는 지난 3월 BNK경남은행이다.
이 프로젝트는 각종 단체나 기업, 금융기관 등에서 성금 대신 지역특산품인 생활도자기를 구입해 소외계층에 기부하도록 해 지역 도예인과 소외계층을 동시에 지원하자는 취지로 2021년 시작됐다.
분청도자의 고장인 김해시 도예인들이 2019년 조류독감(AI), 2020년 코로나 확산 방지를 위해 2년 연속해 분청도자기축제를 열지 못하는 등 판로 확보의 어려움을 겪고 있어 행사를 이어갔다.
홍태용 시장은 “코로나 19란 전례 없는 위기 속에서 방역에 적극 협조한 지역 도예인들의 경제적 위기 극복을 돕기 위해 새로운 기부문화를 유도하고 있다”며 “시민들의 많은 관심을 바란다”고 밝혔다.
