브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 검찰은 24일 더불어민주당 당사 내에 있는 민주연구원에 대한 압수수색을 재시도하고 있는 것으로 전해졌다.
이날 민주당에 따르면 서울중앙지검 반부패수사3부(강백신 부장검사)는 이날 오전 수사관들을 급파해 서울 여의도 민주당 중앙당사 8층까지 진입했으며 민주당 측과 협의가 이뤄지고 있는 것으로 알려졌다. 민주당은 압수수색에 대비하기 위해 주요 당직 의원들과 원내 부대표들에게 소집령을 내린 것으로 전해졌다.
다만 국정감사는 정상적으로 진행하기 위해 지도부 소집령만 내렸으며 상황에 따라 다른 의원들까지도 재소집할 가능성도 있어 보인다.
한편 검찰은 지난 19일 이재명 대표의 최측근으로 꼽히는 김용 민주연구원 부원장이 유동규 전 성남도시개발공사 기획본부장 등으로부터 대선자금 명목으로 수억원의 자금을 받았다는 혐의와 관련, 그를 체포하고 그의 사무실이 있는 민주연구원을 압수수색하려 했다. 하지만 민주당 의원들이 이를 막아서 결국 압수수색은 불발됐다.
