[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 창원특례시는 1일 베트남 꽝닌성 공무원, 베트남 대기업 ‘썬그룹’, 사단법인 창원시여행사협회와 창원관광 활성화를 위한 상생협력 업무협약(MOU)을 맺었다고 밝혔다.
코로나19로 막혔던 하늘길이 다시 열리면서 창원시가 외국인 관광수요 잡기에 본격적으로 나선다. 하롱베이 관광지로 유명한 꽝닌성은 코로나19 팬데믹 속에서도 안전한 투자처로 한국을 비롯한 해외 대기업들의 주목을 받은 베트남 북부 경제중심지이자 관광도시다.
썬그룹은 건설·관광·항공·휴양지 등 사업을 종합적으로 다루는 기업으로, 꽝닌성을 비롯한 베트남 관광 인프라 구축 및 활성화에 큰 역할을 하고 있다.
시는 경제성장으로 의료관광을 비롯한 해외여행에 관심이 높은 베트남의 관광수요를 잡기 위해 꽝닌성, 썬그룹, 그리고 창원 여행업 발전과 권익 증진을 목적으로 지난 8월 설립된 (사)창원시여행사협회와 손잡고 창원만의 특색있는 여행 상품을 개발 및 판매하는 등 국내외 관광객 유치 활성화를 도모하기로 했다.
