[브레이크뉴스=정철규 기자] ‘2022 진주국제농식품박람회’가 2일 테이프 커팅식을 시작으로 6일까지 열린다.
3년 만에 개최되는 이번 박람회는 ‘농업과 함께하는 힐링 나들이’라는 슬로건 아래 20개국 250개사가 참여해 8개 대형전시관에서 첨단농기계, 농기자재, 지역우수 농특산물, 해외 농식품 등을 선보인다.
또한 50개 이상의 다양한 체험 프로그램이 운영돼 풍성하고 알찬 행사로 치러질 전망이다.
진주국제농식품박람회는 2011년 첫 회를 시작으로 올해 10회째를 맞이하며 농업의 선진화와 산업화에 크게 기여해 온 것으로 평가받고 있다.
특히 농업인에게 농기계, 농기자재, 스마트농업 등 농업 신기술을 접할 수 있는 기회를 제공함은 물론, 도시민과 어린이들이 농업을 직접 체험하고 농업에 대해 쉽게 알아갈 수 있는 장을 마련하면서 농업인과 도시민 모두에게 큰 호응을 받아왔다.

올해 박람회의 농기자재관에는 중·소형 생활밀착형 농기계, 첨단 농업용 드론과 무인헬기를 전시하고 녹색식품관에는 경상남도와 진주시, 남해안남중권발전협의회 소속 시군, 경남벤처농업협회의 우수 농특산물을 전시·판매한다.
해외관에 특별히 꾸며진 해외문화 특별전시관에서는 2가지의 특별전시가 펼쳐진다.
