브레이크뉴스 문홍철 기자= 국민연금공단이 3일 서울 신라호텔에서 ‘2022 공적연금 국제 컨퍼런스’를 개최했다.
이번 컨퍼런스는 연금개혁 방안에 대한 사회적 논의가 필요한 현 상황에 발맞춰 다양한 시각을 지닌 국내외 연금전문가들이 ‘공적연금의 미래’에 대한 방향을 모색하기 위해 마련됐다.
행사에 앞서 묵념을 통해 이태원 사망자를 추모하는 시간을 가졌다. 권문일 국민연금연구원장은 개회사에서 “이번 컨퍼런스를 통해 공적연금의 미래를 밝힐 다양한 아이디어가 도출되는 좋은 기회가 되기를 바란다”고 밝혔고, 이어 더불어민주당 이용우 국회의원 축사로 컨퍼런스의 막을 열었다.
컨퍼런스는 총 3개의 세션으로 구성됐으며, 제1세션 발표1에서는 코마무라 코우헤이 교수(Keio University)가 2004년 일본 연금개혁의 주요 내용을 다룬 ‘일본 공적연금의 재정 안정화를 위한 도전 과제’(Overview of Challenges to Stabilize Japan's Public Pension Finances)에 대해서 발표했다.
발표2에서는 캐나다 수석재정추계관실(OCA)의 미셸 몽탐보 이사가 ‘CPP의 재정 안정화와 연금개혁’(Reforms and Financial Sustainability of the Canada Pension Plan)에 대해 설명했다.
제2세션에서는 프랑수아 불레(Senior Actuary, OCA)가 ‘이해관계자를 위한 안내: CPP 재정평가의 다양성’(Guiding Stakeholders : The multi facets of the CPP Actuarial Valuation)에 대해서 발표·논의했다.
제3세션에서는 김우창 교수(KAIST 산업 및 시스템공학과)가 ‘확률적 최적화 기법을 활용한 연기금 관리’(Pension Fund Management using stochastic optimization techniques)에 대해 화상 연결을 통해 발표했다.
이번 컨퍼런스는 오프라인과 온라인 양방향으로 진행돼 공단 유튜브를 통해 실시간 생중계됐으며, 공단 SNS 채널을 통해서도 공유될 예정이다.
김태현 이사장은 “공단은 국민의 노후보장을 위한 상생의 연금개혁을 추진해 나갈 수 있도록 빈틈없이 뒷받침해 나가겠다”고 전했다.
