국가철도공단 강원본부가 영동선 선로변에 인접한 태백시 철암초 학생들을 위해 철도시설 견학 및 열차 체험행사를 9일 가졌다고 밝혔다.
이날 철암초 학생들은 동해시에 위치한 호현구교)와 강릉역을 견학하고 바다열차를 탑승하며 철도에 대한 관심을 높이는 시간을 가졌다.
한편, 강원본부는 철암초등학교 주변 노후 방음벽 정비, 일일 명예교사 활동 등 지역 어린이들을 위한 교류활동을 꾸준히 이어오고 있다.
