[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 경남도가 산림 경영 촉진과 산림의 생산력 증진에 대한 상호 협력방안을 모색하고자 도내 산림조합장들과 간담회를 가졌다.
박완수 도지사는 10일 강주호 산림조합중앙회 부산울산경남지역본부장과 도내 15개 시군의 지역산림조합장이 참석한 가운데 진행됐다.
간담회는 산주와 임업인의 소득증대를 위한 산림조합의 발전과 함께 역할 강화 및 지원방안에 대해 의견을 나누고, 산림사업의 원활한 추진 방향에 대한 현안사항 청취와 논의가 이어졌다.
산림조합에서는 사방사업 추진방안과 산림경영지도 활동 지원 확대를 논의하고, 친환경 목재가공시설 활성화와 탄소중립 목표달성 공동 추진을 통해 녹색성장에 기여하는 방안을 건의했다.
박 도지사는 “도 면적의 66%인 산림을 이용하는 산주와 임업인의 소득향상과 사유림 경영 활성화를 위해 산림조합의 역할이 중요하다”며 “도에서도 산림조합의 경쟁력 강화와 우리 지역의 임업 발전을 위해 노력하겠다”고 말했다.
한편 경남도는 지속가능한 산림자원 조성으로 탄소중립을 이행하고, 산불재난 대응과 산사태를 예방하는 대응 역량을 강화함으로써 건강하고 안전한 산림생태계를 구현해 나가고 있다.
