[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 창원특례시는 15일 3·15해양누리공원 일원에서 ‘2022 창원특례시 어울림 걷기대회’를 개최했다고 밝혔다.
지난해에 이어 2회째를 맞이한 이번 어울림 걷기대회에서 장애인과 비장애인 500여 명이 한데 어우러져 가족, 이웃과 함께 걸으며 서로 화합하는 뜻깊은 시간을 가졌다.
삼삼오오 해양누리공원에 집결한 참가자들은 즐겁고 안전한 행사를 다짐하는 힘찬 구호를 출발 신호로 왕복 2.4km 구간을 걸으며 깊어 가는 가을 정취를 만끽했다.
아울러 참가 장애인들은 대회장 곳곳에 마련된 체험 부스와 체험형 장애인스포츠 버스를 찾아 다양한 종목을 경험하면서, 잠깐의 휴식과 함께 즐거운 시간을 보냈다.

박철현 장애인체육회 운영팀장은 “오랜만에 많은 장애인들께서 한자리에 모여 축제를 즐기는 만큼 직원들은 안전에 만반의 준비를 했다”고 말하고 “단 한 건의 안전사고도 발생하지 않도록 전 직원들은 긴장을 늦추지 않겠다”고 밝혔다.
