브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= CNN은 15일(현지시간) 폴란드에 러시아에서 발사한 것으로 추정되는 미사일 2발이 떨어져 2명이 사망했다고 보도했다.
폴란드는 나토와 유럽연합(EU) 회원국으로, 이번 사건으로 인해 러시아-우크라이나 전쟁이 유럽 전역으로 확전될지 이목이 쏠리고 있다.
이날 CNN은 폴란드 정부 관계자의 말을 인용해 이같이 보도하며 "나토 헌장 4조에 따른 절차에 착수할 근거가 있는지 확인할 것"이라고 밝혔다.
나토 헌장 4조는 '회원국이 영토 보전과 안보에 위협을 받는 경우 나머지 동맹국에 협의를 요청할 수 있다'는 내용이다.
폴란드는 즉각 긴급국가안보위원회를 소집하고 군 대비 태세를 격상하는 한편, 미사일 공격 지점이 어디인지 분석 중에 있다.
다만 미사일 공격 시점에 러시아가 우크라이나 전역에 대한 미사일 공격을 감행하고 있었기 때문에 러시아가 발사한 미사일 일부가 폴란드에 떨어진 것으로 보고 있다.
