[브레이크뉴스=정철규 기자] 진주시는 오는 15일까지 산림 인접지 영농 부산물 등의 소각 행위를 집중단속하기 위해 산불드론감시단을 구성해 운영한다.
산불드론감시단은 초경량비행장치 조종자 자격을 보유한 진주시 산림과 직원 4명으로 구성됐다.
시는 보유하고 있는 드론 4대를 활용해 관내 26개 읍면 및 산림이 있는 동 지역을 중심으로 산불 발생 요인을 선제적으로 차단할 계획이다.
또 시는 야간산불에 대비해 열화상 카메라가 장착된 드론을 활용해 일몰 후 비행훈련과 실시간 영상 전송 등 자체 훈련으로 드론감시단으로서 역량을 강화할 계획이다.
시는 야간산불 발생 시 열화상 카메라를 통한 드론 감시가 산불 확산 경로를 예측할 수 있어 산불 초동진화와 뒷불 감시에 유용할 수 있다고 전했다.
진주시 관계자는 “입산자 실화와 소각행위가 산불발생 원인의 약 60%를 차지한다”며 “작은 관심과 주의만으로도 대부분의 산불을 예방할 수 있다”고 말했다.
