[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 지난 9월 모든 방송과, 언론사들은 일제히 역대급 태풍이라며 태풍 힌남노의 위력을 실시간으로 발송했다.
지난 2003년에 몰아닥친 태풍 매미가 한반도를 관통해 100명 이상의 사망자와 실종자가 발생했고, 재산피해는 수조 원에 이르렀으며, 특히 창원(구 마산)을 직접 강타해 많은 사망자와 부상자가 발생했다.

그는 당시 태풍 힌남노가 지나갈 것으로 예상된 지역인 의창구 내 도로상에서 시민들의 안전을 위해 조치를 치하던 중 나무가 쓰러져 경추를 다쳤다. 이로인해 사지마비 상태로 병원에 입원 중에 있으며, 지금도 사지마비 상태에서 재활치료 중에 있다.
