[브레이크뉴스=양영석 기자] 의령군과 의령 전문가 집단 '정책자문단'이 군정 발전을 위한 백지장을 맞들었다.
군은 20일 정책자문단 정기회의를 갖고 2022년 정책자문단을 통해 제안된 안건들에 대한 정책반영 추진 현황과 2023년 군정방향 및 정책 우선순위에 대한 의견을 모았다.
이날 회의에서 "백지장이라도 맞들자"라는 결론을 도출했다.
오태완 군수는 의령 발전을 위한 도움을 요청했고, 정책자문단 위원들은 어려운 시기 의령 군민을 위해 적극 협력하겠다는 의지를 피력했다.
한편 오태완 군수는 당선 이후 조례 개정을 통해 15명이었던 위원 수를 40명으로 대폭 늘리면서 정책자문단의 기능을 강화했다.
교육·행정, 경제·산업, 건설·도시, 농업·산림, 문화·관광 등 분과별 자문단을 세분화하여 분기별로 분과 위원회 회의를 개최했다.
이들은 여러 차례 의견 수렴을 통해 20가지 정책 제안을 해왔고, 담당 부서 검토를 거쳐 장기 검토 6건을 제외한 14건이 정책에 반영되어 추진 중이다.
대표적인 제안 정책으로는 정암 남강변 캠핑장 조성 및 체험시설 설치, 의령 로컬푸드 매장 조성, 산림레포츠 단지 조성 등이 있다.
이날 2023년 군정 정책 제안도 활발히 이루어졌다.
특히 다둥이 아빠들의 정책 제안이 눈길을 끌었다.
9남매를 키우는 박성용(49) 씨 와 8남매를 키우는 주웅일(45) 씨는 자녀키우기 좋은 의령을 위한 다둥이가정 지원 확충을 건의했다.
오 군수는 둘째 아이 또는 셋째 아이 이상의 가정을 위한 의령형 특수시책 발굴에 강한 의지를 나타냈다.
이 밖에도 행복학습관 운영의 실효성 제고, 전통시장 활성화를 위한 방문객 동선 분산, 문학과 문화를 즐길 수 있는 시비(詩碑) 조성 등 내년 새로운 사업에 대한 아이디어가 봇물 터지듯 나왔다.
오태완 군수는 "의령군 정책 전문가들의 도움을 받으니 순풍에 돛을 단 격"이라며 "의령 발전을 위한 같은 식구들과 함께 내년에도 더 큰 성과를 위해 열심히 달리겠다“고 말했다.
