진주시, 2023년 국·도비 예산 6022억원 확보

[브레이크뉴스=정철규 기자] 진주시는 오는 2023년 국.도비 예산 6022억원을 확보했다고 27일 밝혔다.

시의 내년 국.도비 예산은 국비 4762억원, 도비 1260억원으로, 2022년 5521억원 대비 9% 증가한 규모의 예산을 확보했다.

시의 국.도비 확보 성과는 지난 2월부터 국.도비확보 특별대책본부를 운영해 정부와 경남도의 관련 부서를 직접 방문해 사업의 필요성과 당위성을 설명하는 등 다각적인 노력을 벌인 결과물로 풀이된다.

또 조규일 시장은 지난 7월부터 진주지역 국회의원을 비롯해 경남지역 국회의원실을 방문해 시의 주요 현안사업들의 정부 예산 반영에 건의하는 등 국비 확보에 총력전을 벌인 결과로 평가되고 있다.

조규일 시장은 “진주시 직원들과 지역 국회의원 등이 함께 노력한 덕분에 역대 최대 규모의 국.도비를 확보할 수 있었다”며“시민이 체감할 수 있는 부강한 진주 건설을 앞당길 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
