[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 김해시는 음식물쓰레기를 줄이기 위해 감량기 설치 보조금 지원 사업을 추진한다고 9일 밝혔다.
이는 가정이나 사업장의 음식물쓰레기 감량기 구입비 일부를 지원하는 사업으로 시는 환경도시를 지향하며, 갈수록 늘어나는 음식물쓰레기를 줄이기 위해 2020년부터 추진하고 있다.
올해는 5,000만원을 투입해 1세대당 1대씩 음식물쓰레기 감량기 구입비의 50%(최대 40만원 한도)를 지원한다.
시는 오는 10일부터 내달 말까지 시청 누리집에서 공고와 접수를 동시에 진행해 보조금 심의를 거쳐 5~6월경 지원할 계획이며 선정자가 제품을 우선 구매한 후 보조금을 신청하는 방식으로 예산 소진 시까지 진행한다.
시 관계자는 "음식물쓰레기 배출 감량이 절실한 상황"이라며 "음식물쓰레기 줄이기에 관심을 갖고 적극적으로 실천해 주시기 바란다"고 당부했다.
