[브레이크뉴스=정철규 기자] 조규일 진주시장은 9일‘희망교 연결로 개설’과 ‘내동역 폐역사 공원 조성’ 현장을 점검하고, 관계자들을 격려했다.
이날 현장 점검에는 조규일 진주시장을 비롯해 평거동 및 내동면 봉사단체, 주민 등 10여 명이 참석한 가운데 공원 걷기 행사를 가졌다.
희망교 보행로 내동역 폐역사는 총 공사비 9억원을 들여 화장실을 비롯해 수목 식재 등으로 공원을 조성해 시민들의 불편함을 해소하고 접근성을 높였다.
조규일 시장은 “자전거도로와 이어지는 연결로나 공원 조성을 통한 인프라 구축으로 시민 편의를 확보함으로써 자전거 이용 활성화에 기여할 것으로 기대한다”고 말했다.
