[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 창원특례시 구진호 성산구청장은 12일 원이대로 현장을 방문해, 낙엽 정비 상황을 점검하고 낙엽 수거 작업을 위해 수고하는 환경실무원들을 위로하고 격려했다.
성산구는 지난해 12월 5일부터 환경실무원 30여 명, 노면차 4대, 수거차 2대를 투입해, 중앙대로를 기점으로 충혼로, 창이대로를 이어 원이대로에서 대규모 낙엽정비 작업을 진행 중이며 수거한 낙엽 중 일부는 퇴비로 쓰기 희망하는 농가에 지원하며 환경문제에도 적극 대처하고 있다.
최근 겨울 가뭄으로 관내 가로수들과 인근 야산에서 날아온 낙엽들이 인도와 차도를 덮으면서 시민들의 불편이 가중되고 있어, 보다 발 빠르게 대처해 시민들의 불편 해소를 위해 앞장서고 있다.
