브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 오는 30일부터 실내마스크 실내 착용 의무에서 권고로 완화된다. 다만 병원이나 약국, 대중교통 등에선 착용 의무는 당분간 유지된다.
한덕수 국무총리는 20일 오전 정부서울청사에서 열린 코로나19 중앙재난안전대책본부 회의에서 "오는 1월 30일부터 일부 시설 등을 제외하고, 실내마스크 착용 의무를 권고로 완화하는 방안을 논의·확정하겠다"고 밝혔다.
한 총리는 "중국 내 확진자 급증에 따른 우려도 있었으나, 국내에서는 큰 무리 없이 관리되고 있다"면서 "지난 12월 결정한 '실내마스크 착용의무 조정지표' 네 가지 중 환자발생 안정화, 위중증·사망 발생 감소, 안정적 의료 대응 역량 등 세 가지가 충족됐다. 대외 위험요인도 충분히 관리가능한 수준으로 판단했다"고 완화 이유를 설명했다.
그러면서 "이러한 진전은 국민 여러분의 인내와 협조가 있었기에 가능했다. 국민 여러분께 감사드린다"고 덧붙였다.
한 총리는 또한 "감염 취약계층 보호를 위해 의료기관과 약국, 감염취약시설, 대중교통에서의 착용 의무는 당분간 유지하기로 했다"며 "조금 더 인내해 주시기를 부탁한다"고 말했다.
