[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 창원특례시 진해구청장(조일암)은 25일 ‘안골택지 해안저지대 침수예방 사업’현장을 방문해 원활한 사업추진을 위한 사전점검의 시간을 가졌다.
이번 사업은 대조기 조위보다 낮은 지대에 있는 도로를 숭상함으로써 만조 시 일시적 도로침수를 방지하고 인근 주민들의 통행 불편을 해소하는 것으로, 진해구에서는 원활한 사업추진을 위해 지난해 12월 재난안전 특별교부세 3억원의 예산을 확보하였고, 1월 중 실시설계용역을 발주할 예정이며, 설계가 완료되면 공사를 발주해 상반기 내 준공을 목표로 공사에 박차를 가할 계획이다.
조일암 진해구청장은 “공사가 완료되면 해안저지대 도로로 인해 오랫동안 불편함을 겪어 왔던 인근 주민들의 숙원을 해소하고, 침수피해 예방에 크게 기여할 것으로 기대된다”며 “주민들의 통행여건 개선 및 침수피해 예방을 위해 조기에 공사가 완공될 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다“고 밝혔다.
