[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 창원특례시 기후환경국은 9일 서울특별시청을 방문해 기후·환경 선진정책 및 우수사례 벤치마킹을 실시했다.
이번 서울 방문은 2023년 국 신설 원년을 맞아, 특례시 위상에 부응하는 신규시책 발굴과 서울특별시 우수 정책사례의 시정접목을 위해 추진됐다.
박진열 기후환경국장을 단장으로, 4개 팀 11명의 선진 기후·환경정책 발굴단은 서울특별시 기후환경본부장과 물순환안전국장을 순차 면담하고 서울특별시와 창원특례시 간 지속적인 교류와 협업에 대한 공통된 의견을 나누는 시간을 가졌다.
이후, 발굴단은 서울시 기후환경본부 소관부서(7개 과), 물순환안전국 소관부서(4개 과)를 방문하여 ▲ 환경교육 활성화 정책 ▲ 탄소중립 및 기후대응 시민실천 사업 사례 ▲ 노후 공공건물 에너지 효율화 사업 ▲ 대기 방지시설 관리센터 운영 업무 ▲ 다회용기 사용 시범사업 ▲ 2040 물순환 기본계획 ▲ 중랑천 홍수방지 및 생태복원 추진사업 ▲ 비점오염원 저감사업 등 기후·환경 전 분야를 총망라하는 정책 자료수집을 했다.

이를 통해 서울시의 우수 환경정책을 창원시로 적극 흡수하고 최적화된 정책을 발굴하여 시정에 반영할 예정이다.
