세종교육청이 이달 2일부터 오는 17일까지 교육급여 및 교육비 지원 신청을 받는다.
교육급여는 기초생활보장제도의 일환으로 기준 중위소득 50%이하 가정에 교육비는 한부모가정, 법정차상위, 기준중위소득 80%이하까지 지원한다.
교육급여와 교육비 지원을 희망하는 학부모(보호자)는 주소지의 읍·면·동 주민센터를 방문해 신청하거나, 복지로또는 교육비 원클릭을 통해 온라인으로 신청하면 된다.
교육급여 및 교육비 신청은 집중 신청기간 이후에도 연중 상시 신청이 가능하다.
이미 신청하여 지원받고 있는 경우 상급 학교 진학이나 진급하더라도 별도로 신청하지 않아도 계속 지원된다.
다만, 초등학교에 입학하는 신입생인 경우에는 신규 신청이 필요하다. 올해 교육급여(교육활동비) 연 지원금액은 지난해보다 대폭 인상됐다.
초등학생 415,000원, 중학생 589,000원, 고등학생 654,000원으로, 전년도 보다 초등학생 84,000원, 중학생 123,000원, 고등학생 100,000원 인상됐다.
교육급여 지급방식도 변경돼 현금에서 바우처(카드포인트)로 한국장학재단의 사업 누리집에서 교육급여 바우처를 별도 신청해야 한다.
바우처 신청권자는 학부모, 보호자(교육급여 신청인, 세대주 또는 성인 세대원), 만 14세 이상 학생 본인이 가능하며, 신청인 명의의 카드(신용.체크.선불충전식)에 포인트를 충전해 지원한다.
교육비는 급식(석식비), 방과후학교 자유수강권, 교육정보화 지원(컴퓨터, 인터넷통신비), 현장체험학습비(지원액의 초과분) 등이 지원된다.
특히, 올해부터는 중·고등학교 1학년 모든 신입생에게 체육복을 무상 지원한다.
