세종시를 '사이버 보안 선도도시'로 만들기 위한 업무협약식이 6일 있었다.
세종시는 이날 청사 한글독서문화실에서 ‘사이버보안 선도도시'를 향한 추동력 확보를 위해 학계, 공공기관을 포함한 기관 10곳과 업무협약을 체결했다.
협약식에는 시를 비롯해 고려대학교(세종), 홍익대학교(세종), 성신여자대학교, 세종대학교, 한국인터넷진흥원, 한국전자통신연구원, 한국정보보호산업협회, 한국과학기술정보연구원, 과학기술정책연구원 등 기관 10곳이 참석했다.
이번 협약은 ▲핵테온 세종 국제 대학생 사이버보안 경진대회 후원 ▲지능형도시, 사물인터넷(IoT), 클라우드, 인공지능(AI) 등 사이버보안 학술대회·협의회 개최를 위해 마련됐다.
또 ▲채용박람회 등 협력 ▲사이버보안 인재양성·산업육성을 위한 협력사업 추진 ▲사이버보안 위협대응 및 차세대 융합보안 기반 강화에 대한 협력 추진 등의 목적도 갖고 있다.
협약으로 정보보호특성화대학과 연구기관의 직간접적인 후원·협력의 전기를 마련해 ‘핵테온 세종 국제 대학생 사이버보안 경진대회’와 ‘정보보안 학술대회(컨퍼런스)’의 성공적 개최를 도모한다.
또 협약기관은 사이버보안 중심의 기회발전특구 조성과 정보보안 산업육성, 핵심인재 양성에 뜻을 같이해 향후 과제발굴, 협력사업 추진에 공동으로 나서게 된다.
현재 세종시는 중앙행정기관 47곳이 이전했고 대통령 제2집무실· 국회세종의사당 건립이 확정된 상황으로, 사이버보안 위협에 대응하기 위한 정보보안 산업육성의 최적지로 꼽힌다.
