[브레이크뉴스=정철규 기자] 진주시는 2023년부터 차별 없는 교육복지 실현과 교육의 공공성 강화를 위해 ‘사립유치원 학부모부담금’의 일부 지원을 시작한다고 21일 밝혔다.
시는 12억 원의 예산을 투입해 3월부터 매월 만 3세, 만 4세 사립유치원 아동 1500여 명을 대상으로 ‘사립유치원 학부모부담금’을 일부 지원한다.
사립유치원 학부모부담금 지원금은 만 3세 아동에게는 1인당 7만7000원, 만 4세 아동에게는 6만원 한도 내에서 지원되며, 기준은 민간어린이집 부모부담금 지원기준과 동일하다.
조규일 시장은 “시는 앞으로도 미래세대인 아이들을 위해 양질의 교육환경 조성에 아낌없는 지원과 지속적인 관심을 가질 것”이라고 말했다.
