[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 경남도는 22일 도청 정문 입구에 누리호 실물모형인 12m, 발사대 13m 규모로 제작해 전시하고 도민들에게 우주시대를 선도한다는 의지를 밝혔다.
2023년 도지사 새해 첫 일정으로 KAI를 방문할 만큼 우주시대 경남 조성에 박차를 가하고 있는 경남도는, 우주항공산업을 통한 경남 재도약의 상징물로 누리호 실물모형을 선정하고 제작과 설치를 완료했다.
박완수 도지사는 “올해 경남 사천에 개청 예정인 우주항공청과 우주산업 협력지구 위성 특화지구를 중심으로 우주산업을 경남의 핵심 산업으로 적극 키워 나갈 것”이라며, “우리나라가 우주 강국으로 자리매김할 수 있도록 경남이 선도해 나가겠다”고 밝혔다.
