[브레이크뉴스=정철규 기자] 진주시는 월아산 국가정원 조성사업을 추진하고 있는 가운데 시민들의 정원문화 활성화와 확산을 위해 관내 법인, 단체 및 개인이 조성·운영하는 우수 개인정원을 발굴 지원한다고 밝혔다.
이에 시는 오는 10일부터 28일까지 15개소를 목표로 우수 개인정원 신청을 받는다.
신청조건은 진주시 관내 개인 30㎡, 법인·단체 100㎡ 이상(건물면적 제외)인 신청인 소유의 정원으로, 개방 시기를 정해 방문객들에게 안내와 설명을 제공할 수 있는 정원이어야 한다.
신청방법은 시청 홈페이지에 공고된 공고문을 참조해 진주시청 산림과로 방문 및 우편 접수하면 된다.
시는 현장평가를 거쳐 6월 말에 최종 결과를 통지할 예정이다.
최종 우수 개인정원으로 선정되면 진주시 개인정원 등록증 및 등록 명패가 제공되고 정원관리 자재 구입 등 일부를 지원받게 된다.
또한 홈페이지 및 SNS 등 온라인 매체를 통해 홍보도 진행할 계획이다.
시 관계자는 “정원 건강·행복도시 진주로 나아가기 위해 일상 속 생활정원문화가 확산될 수 있도록 시민들의 많은 관심과 참여를 바란다”며 “우리 시만의 역사와 문화가 있는 우수한 개인정원을 매년 발굴해 나갈 계획이다”고 말했다.
