브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 지난 5일 재보궐 선거 결과와 관련, 더불어민주당 내에서 내년 총선 승리에 대한 자신감이 높아졌다는 언급이 나왔다.
권칠승 민주당 수석대변인은 7일 오전 광주 현장 최고위원회의 후 기자들과 만나 "(재보궐 결과를 보니) 내년 선거에서 (승리할 수 있다는) 자신감이 많이 올라왔다는 보고가 올라왔다"고 말했다.
권칠승 수석대변인은 재보궐 선거 결과에 대해 "최근 국민의힘에서 여러 막말을 연쇄적으로 하면서 국민 지탄도 받고, 지지율도 상당히 떨어졌다 생각한다"며 "영남에서도 현 정부에 대한 불만이나 민심 이반이 있어 민주당이 선방했다고 본다"고 평가했다.
이어 그는 "우리 당도 혹시 그런 말실수 때문에 어려움을 겪지 않도록 조심해야 할 때란 이야기도 보고로 올라왔다"고 말했다.
윤석열 대통령이 국제박람회기구(BIE) 환송회 술자리에 참석한 데 대해선 "상황만 공유됐고 평가하는 얘긴 없었다"고 전했다.
