브레이크뉴스 최애리 기자= 롯데리아 음료에서 살아있는 바퀴벌레가 나오는 일이 발생했다.
19일 식품의약품안전처와 롯데이라에 따르면 A씨는 지난 12일 8살 딸과 함께 경기도 수원에 위치한 한 롯데리아 매장을 방문해 버거 세트 메뉴 2가지를 주문했다.
A씨가 버거와 함께 나온 콜라를 거의 다 마신 뒤, 컵 뚜껑을 열자 살아있는 바퀴벌레가 꿈틀거리고 있는 것을 발견했다.
이에 충격을 받은 A씨는 직원을 불러 항의하는 한편, 식약처에도 이를 신고했다.
A씨는 다음날 오후 1시 해당 지점의 점주와 면담했으며 롯데리아측에서 환불을 겸한 보상금 차원으로 100만원을 주겠다 제안했지만 거절했다고 밝혔다.
이후 같은날 오후 2시 30분 식약처 관계자가 나와 현장 점검을 실시했으며 외부에서 이물질이 혼합된 것으로 보고 5일간 영업정지 결정을 내렸다.
A씨는 해당 매장의 리뷰에도 이같은 내용과 사진을 남기며 "저희 딸이 아니라 제가 마셨기에 그나마 다행이지만 너무나 당황하고 소름 끼치는 상황에 사진 하나밖에 못 찍고 식약처에 신고했다"고 설명했다.
이어 "평소 자주 가고 좋아하는 버거집이었는데 이번 일로 브랜드에 대한 불신이 생기며 화가 치밀어 오른다"며 "다음날에도 버젓이 영업을 하는 모습을 보며 정말 실망했다. 다른 분들도 이 사실을 알았으면 좋겠는 마음에 리뷰를 작성한다"고 말했다.
한편, 롯데리아측은 입막음 용도로 100만원을 지급하겠다는 게 아니냐는 일각의 주장에 대해 "사실이 아니다"라며 "이미 식약처에 신고가 들어간 상황이었고, 매장 이용에 불편을 드려 죄송하다는 의미로 전하고자 한 것"이라고 해명했다.
그러면서 "영업정지 기간도 5일이지만 소독, 방역 등을 위해 자체적으로 3일간 더 늘려 8일간 문을 닫을 계획이다. 영업정지 일정도 당초 5월초였지만 이를 앞당겨 오는 21일부터 휴점할 계획"이라고 전했다.
