[브레이크뉴스=정철규 기자] 진주시는 올해 16억원의 예산을 투입해 단독주택 지역에 도시가스 공급을 확대하시 위해 보조금 지원한도를 가구당 최대 150만원에서 300만원으로 대폭 상향한다.
이번 단독주택 도시가스 지원사업은 도시가스를 공급받지 못하고 있는 취약지역에 도시가스 공급배관 설치 공사비 부담금을 시 보조금으로 지원하는 사업이다.
도시가스 보조금은 도시가스 공급관 설치비 중 수요가 부담인 시설분담금 66만원을 초과하는 금액 중 최대 300만원까지를 지원하는 것으로, 진주시는 지난해 관련 조례를 정비했다.
진주시는 도시가스 보급 가능지역의 도시가스 보급 로드맵을 수립하고, 도시가스 공급업체와 협업을 통해 지속적으로 도시가스 공급망을 확대해 나갈 계획이다.
또 시는 도시가스 보급이 어려운 대평면 대평리 270세대에 대해 처음으로 27억원의 예산을 투입해 LPG 소형저장탱크 보급과 배관망 구축 사업을 추진해 오는 2027년까지 준공할 예정이다.
LPG 소형저장탱크 보급사업은 도시가스가 공급되지 않는 밀집된 마을단위 지역을 대상으로 LPG 소형저장탱크와 배관망을 구축하고, 각 가정마다 LPG 보일러, 가스계량기 등 부대시설을 설치하는 사업이다.
