[브레이크뉴스=정철규 기자] 진주시는 대기오염을 개선하기 위해 건설기계 노후 엔진을 저공해 엔진으로 교체하는 ‘건설기계 엔진교체 사업’을 시행한다고 26일 밝혔다.
시는 11억 5500만원의 예산을 투입해 노후 건설기계 약 70대를 지원하며, 지원금액은 톤급에 따라 약 963만원에서 1930만 원까지 지원, 신청자가 별도로 부담해야 하는 자부담은 없다.
이번 지원 대상은 지난 2004년 이전에 제작된 Tier-1 이하의 엔진을 탑재한 건설기계(지게차, 굴삭기), 지난 2005년 이전에 제작된 엔진출력 75kw 이상 130kw 미만 건설기계, 지난 2006년에 제작된 75kw 미만 건설기계가 해당된다.
지원 조건은 공고일 기준 사용본거지가 진주시로 등록된 차량으로, 정부 보조금 지원으로 저공해 엔진 교체 사실이 없는 저공해 엔진 교체 인증조건에 적합한 건설기계로 지방세 등 체납이 없어야 한다.
신청 기간은 오는 5월 1일부터 예산 소진 시까지, 지원을 희망하는 차량 소유자는 공고에 안내된 장치 제작사와 사전에 엔진 교체 가능 여부를 협의해야 한다.
