‘키즈레일(Kids Rail) 행신역 어린이집’이 4일 개원했다.
이날 국가철도공단은 경의중앙선 행신역에서 ‘키즈레일(Kids Rail) 행신역 어린이집(이하 행신역 어린이집)’ 개원 행사를 갖고 운영에 들어갔다.
개원식에는 한준호 국회의원, 이윤상 국토교통부 철도국장, 이병훈 공공상생연대기금 이사장, 고양시 관계자 등 각계 인사와 학부모 등 약 50여명이 참석했다.
이번에 개원한 행신역 어린이집은 친환경적이면서 주변 여건을 고려하여 아이들이 쾌적한 환경에서 생활할 수 있도록 지상 2층에 건물 연면적 322.5㎡, 놀이공간 128㎡로 총 450.5㎡ 건축됐다.
어린이집은 만 3세 이하 아동 42명 내외로 총 4개 반을 편성하고, 기본 보육시간(09:00～16:00)보다 7시간을 연장한 시간연장형(07:30～21:30)으로 운영된다.
또, 행신역은 경기 북부권의 유일한 KTX 역사로 경기도와 전국을 연결하는 핵심 교통 요충지로 알려져 있다.
행신역을 이용해 타 지역으로 출·퇴근하는 학부모들이 자녀를 맡기고 데려올 수 있어 지역사회 보육부담 해소에 기여할 것으로 기대된다.
국가철도공단 김한영 이사장은 “제101회 어린이날을 하루 앞둔 뜻깊은 날에 ‘키즈레일(Kids Rail) 행신역 어린이집 개원식’을 개최하게 돼 기쁘다" 며 "앞으로도 우리나라 미래의 주인공인 어린이를 위해 ‘키즈레일(Kids Rail) 어린이집 건립 사업’을 확대 추진하겠다”고 말했다.
