【브레이크뉴스 영천】박희경 기자=영천시의회(의장 하기태)는 제230회 시의회 임시회 기간 중인 지난 11일 각 상임위원회별 관내 주요 사업장을 방문해 점검했다.

이번 현장방문은 영천시가 추진하고 있는 주요 사업현장과 시설을 찾아 사업전반에 대한 현황 및 추진 상황을 파악하고 현장과 소통하기 위해 마련됐다.
이날 행정문화복지위원회(위원장 김상호) 위원들은 스마트도시통합센터, 희망의 둥지(장애인거주시설), 신성일기념관 사업현장, 화랑설화마을, 영천시시설관리공단 등 5개소를 차례로 방문했다.
특히 이번 현장방문에는 최근 문제가 대두된 장애인거주시설 등을 찾아 문제점을 파악하고 개선 방안을 모색했다. 또한 신성일기념관 건립 사업현장에서는 남녀노소 모든 세대들이 찾을 수 있는 특색 있는 공간을 연출해 지역을 대표하는 문화공간이 될 수 있도록 노력해달라고 당부했다.
김상호 행정문화복지위원장은 “이번 현장방문을 통해 주요사업 진행 상황은 물론 보완점을 확인할 수 있었다”며 “행정문화복지위원회 주요 사업들이 차질없이 진행되는지 지속적으로 점검하여 시민들의 삶에 실질적으로 도움이 될 수 있도록 노력하겠다”고 말했다.
산업건설위원회(위원장 이갑균) 위원들은 영천하수처리장, 완산동 도시재생 뉴딜사업 현장, 보현산댐 하류공원, 야사지구 토지구획 정리사업 현장 등 총 4개소를 방문해 사업추진 현황을 점검하고 현안사항을 청취했다.
이갑균 산업건설위원장은 “사업현장을 직접 방문·점검함으로써 사업추진 현황을 파악하고 사업에 대한 이해도를 높일 수 있었다”며 “앞으로 다양한 현장을 직접 보고 주요 현안들의 문제점과 개선방안 등에 대해 동료의원들과 심도 있는 논의를 하겠다.”고 말했다.
한편 영천시의회는 오는 19일 제2차 본회의를 끝으로 제230회 영천시의회 임시회를 마무리한다.
