세이브더칠드런 서부지역본부가 지난 7일부터 한국도로공사 대전충남본부, 대전경찰청과 손잡고 ‘스쿨존 SAVE 캠페인’을 전개하며 스쿨존 어린이 지키기에 나섰다.
8일 한국도로공사 대전충남본부에 따르면 이번 캠페인은 시민들의 공감과 참여를 이끌어내 어린이들 보호를 넘어 스쿨존에서 어린이 안전을 지키기 위해 기획됐다.
이날 진행된 스쿨존 SAVE캠페인은 한국도로공사 대전충남본부 및 대전경찰청 임직원 약 20여명이 참여해 서구 가수원초등학교 스쿨존 일대를 거닐며 안전한 교통환경 마련에 시민들의 관심과 참여를 부탁했다.
세이브더 칠드런 서부지역본부는 이번 1차 어린이교통안전캠페인을 시작으로 대전시 5개구 내 스쿨존에 SAVE 캠페인을 지속적으로 실시해 어린이가 안전한 스쿨존 만들기에 나선다는 계획이다.
박진원 한국도로공사 대전충남본부장은 스쿨존 내 아동들의 안전한 등·하굣길 환경이 조성되길 바란다"며, "앞으로도 아동들의 안전을 위해 지속적으로 노력하겠다"고 말했다.
