세종시의회가 행정수도 개헌 추진기구 신설을 위한 조례 제정에 나서기로 했다.
세종시의회 이소희 의원은 13일 오후 시의회 1층 대회의실에서 기자회견을 갖고 "행정수도 명문화개헌 추진 동력을 확보하고 지속성을 담보하기 위해 조례를 통해 추진기구를 구성하겠다고 밝혔다.
이 의원은 회견에서 "개헌 추진 기구 신설 조례는 민·관·정 및 여·야 모두 함께 참여할 것"이라며 "실질적인 준비와 구체적인 이행을 위한 법적 근거 마련을 위해 조례안을 여·야 합의로 세종시 의원 20명 전원 공동 발의로 통과시키는 것을 계획하고 있다"고 설명했다.
또 "추진기구 구성원은 시장을 포함한 공동대표단을 두고, 세종시를 대표할 수 있는 민·관·정 인사로 구성될 것"이라며 "시장, 의장, 교육감, 지역 국회의원, 지역 정당 대표, 시민사회 대표 등 모두가 참여하는 기구가 될 것"이라고말했다.
이 의원은 "추진기구 산하에 분과를 두어 역할 분담을 하고, 부시장을 단장으로 하는 실무기구 추진단도 갖출 것"이라고 말했다.
이 의원은 " 이 조례안은는 여·야 의원들을 포함한 세종시의원 전체 의견 수렴을 통해 결정된다"며 "기구가 신속하게 추진될 수 있도록 다음 회기에 조례를 발의할 예정"이라고 설명했다.
