한국타이어앤테크놀로지㈜(이하 한국타이어)가 오는 28일부터 30일까지 열리는 영국 워릭셔주에서 개최되는 상용차 박람회 ‘로드 트랜스포트 엑스포 2023(Road Transport Expo 2023)’에 참가해 프리미엄 트럭?버스용 타이어(Truck and Bus Radial, TBR) 기술력을 유럽 시장에 선보이기로 했다.
15일 한국타이어에 따르면 ‘로드 트랜스포트 엑스포’는 전 세계 트럭 및 트레일러 제조업체와 관련 부품업체들이 참가하는 대규모 상용차 박람회로 작년에 이어 올해 두 번째로 개최된다.
행사는 영국의 ‘스톤리 국립 농업 전시 센터(National Agricultural and Exhibition Centre, NAEC)’에서 진행된다. 특히, 올해는 작년보다 2배 이상인 200여 개의 업체들이 참여 소식을 알려 큰 주목을 받고 있다.
한국타이어는 2년 연속 전용 부스를 마련해 자사의 TBR 기술력을 소개한다. 주요 전시 제품은 중장거리 트럭?버스용 제품 ‘스마트플렉스 AL51(SmartFlex AL51)’과 ‘스마트플렉스 DL51(SmartFlex DL51)’이다.
두 제품 모두 한국타이어만의 최첨단 트럭?버스용 타이어 기술인 ‘스마텍(Smart+Technology, Smartec)’을 적용해 안전성, 마일리지, 칩앤컷(Chip and Cut) 방지, 타이어 재생 성능 등 타이어 성능 전반을 향상시켰다는 것이 한국타이어의 설명이다.
이번 박람회에서 유럽 시장에서 판매 중인 한국타이어의 재생타이어 서비스 ‘한국 스마트라이프 솔루션(Hankook SmartLife Solution)'의 ‘알파트레드(Alphatread)' 제품도 전시한다.
또, 글로벌 전략 브랜드 ‘라우펜(Laufenn)’의 트레일러 타이어 신제품 ‘LF95’, 대형 카고용 올포지션 타이어 ‘LF22’, 카고용 후륜 타이어 ‘LZ22’ 제품을 함께 배치해 현지 고객의 접근성을 강화한다는 전략이다.
한국타이어는 박람회를 통해 영국 상용차 타이어 교체 시장의 선두주자로서 유럽에 자사의 TBR 기술력을 다시 한번 알리고, 글로벌 프리미엄 브랜드 이미지를 전파할 계획도 세운것으로 알려졌다.
한편, 한국타이어는 독일의 ‘물류 운송 박람회 2023’, ‘더 타이어 쾰른 2022’, 영국 ‘데본 트럭쇼’, ‘트럭쇼 콘월’ 등 유럽 주요 박람회에 지속적으로 참가해 최신 TBR 기술력을 입증하며 프리미엄 타이어 브랜드로서 글로벌 시장을 선도해 나가고 있다.
