이 장학금은 우양산업개발㈜ 힐튼경주(대표 조영준)가 시행하는 미래세대 지원 프로그램의 일환으로 우수한 학업성적으로 선발된 동국대학교 호텔관광외식경영학부 재학생 8명에게 장학 증서와 장학금 총 400만원을 전달했다.
지난 2014년 처음 장학생을 선발한 이후 10년간 경기침체나 코로나 등으로 어려운 시기에도 매년 상반기, 하반기 2회로 장학금 수여를 해오고 있으며, 그동안 장학사업을 통해 선발된 장학생은 총 124명, 장학금 누적 금액은 6천 2백만원에 달한다.
