군포의왕교육지원청(교육장 이은광)이 지역의 학생자치 활성화 및 인성 함양을 위해 ‘지역학생자치회 인성UP, 행복UP 프로젝트’를 진행했다.
이번 프로젝트는 6월 8일 ‘중고등학교 학생지치회 회장 및 부회장 역량강화 워크숍’, 6월20일 ‘학생자치회 담당교사 역량강화 워크숍’, 6월 22일 ‘초등학교 학생자치회 회장 및 부회장 역량강화 워크숍’ 등의 순서로 진행됐다.
행사에는 각 학교별 학생자치회 회장, 부회장, 지도교사 등 약 200명이 참석해 학생자치 운영의 중요성, 필요한 역량, 운영 방법 등 다양한 주제로 워크숍을 진행했다.
워크숍에 참여한 학생과 교사는 학생자치의 정의, 운영의 어려운 점, 해결책 등을 고민하며 학생자치회 발전 방향을 심도있게 모색했다.
특히, 이번 워크숍은 강의 중심이 아닌 참여 중심으로 워크숍에서 배웠던 내용을 학교 현장에 바로 적용할 수 있도록 프로그램을 구성, 호응과 만족도가 매우 높았다.
워크숍에서 참석자들은 학생자치 활동에 인성적 요소를 포함해 진행하는 방식에 대해 고민햇다. 워크숍은 미래사회를 살아갈 핵심 역량인 ‘바른 인성’이 학생자치 활동을 통해 자연스럽게 함양될 수 있도록 진행됐다.
이은광 군포의왕교육지원청 교육장은 “학생자치 활동은 학교에서 학생 주도로 이루어지는 매우 의미있는 활동으로 학생들의 주도성 함양과 좋은 학교문화를 학생들 스스로 만들어가는데 큰 도움이 된다”며, “앞으로 학생자치 활동이 활성화돼 바른 인성도 함께 함양할 수 있도록 현장 지원을 아끼지 않겠다”고 밝혔다.
