광복 80주년 맞이 코리안드림 1,000만 캠페인 시민조직위원회는 8월11일자 보도자료에서 “2023년 8월 15일 오후 2시 30분부터 국회의원회관 대회의실에 여야 정치권 및 시민사회를 대표하는 각계각층 인사 및 등 500여명이 참석한 가운데 ‘광복 78주년 기념 통일실천결의대회’를 개최할 예정”이라고 밝혔다.
조직위는 “통일을 실천하는 사람들, 한반도 통일지도자 총연합, 사단법인 대한노인회, 대한민국 재향경유회, 사단법인 한국예총, 사단법인 일천만이산가족위원회, 사단법인 사색의 향기 등 총 7개의 주요 단체가 중심이 되어 구성됐다”면서 “이번 행사는 미중패권경쟁 심화와 우크라이나 전쟁 등 급변하는 국제정세 속에서 한반도의 항구적 평화와 통일을 실현하기 위해 추진 중인 ‘2025년 광복 80주년 맞이 코리안드림 1,000만 캠페인’의 성공을 위해 각계의 참여와 협력을 도모하고자 마련됐다”고 소개했다.
조직위는 “행사는 여야 국회의원 환영사 및 캠페인 공동주최 대표단의 비전 실천 결의, 코리안드림 1,000만 캠페인 홍보영상 상영, 통일을 실천하는 사람들 서인택 상임의장의 코리안드림 사업계획발표, 서울필하모니오케스트라의 축하공연, 참가자 전원이 함께하는 출범 선언문 낭독 및 코리안드림 만세 세레모니 등으로 진행될 예정”이라면서 “여야 국회의원 환영사는 이번 광복 78주년 기념 통일실천결의대회 개최 및 코리안드림 1,000만 캠페인 추진을 축하하는 자리로 이명수 국민의 힘 의원과 이용선 더불어민주당 의원이 참석할 예정”이라고 피력했다.
