29일 영덕군농업기술센터에 따르면 최근 지역의 기후조건은 병해충이 출몰하기 쉬운 환경으로, 탄저병과 갈색무늬병은 하루 평균기온이 23~27℃의 고온이고 지속된 강우로 고온다습한 환경에서 확산한다.
특히 사과 탄저병은 주로 과실이 익기 시작하는 시전부터 발생하며, 열매에 흑갈색 반점이 형성되고 과실을 부패시켜 심각한 상품성 저하와 수확량을 감소시킨다.
사과 탄저병 방제를 위해선 병든 과실을 조기에 따내 병원균이 빗물에 흘러내려 다른 과실로 전염되는 것을 막고, 등록 약제를 안전사용지침에 따라 집중 방제관리를 시행해야 한다.
또한 잦은 강우로 인해 사과원에 배수가 불량하면 사과 잎의 조기낙엽을 일으키는 갈색무늬병 발생 확률이 높아지기 때문에 철저한 방제와 관리가 필요하다.
영덕군농업기술센터 박병대 소장은 “최근 급변하는 기후변화로 병해충 발생이 증가하고 있다”며, “병해충 정밀 예찰과 적기 방제를 시행해 병해충 피해가 최소화 되도록 최선을 다하겠다”고 전했다.
