군은 추석을 앞두고 지속적으로 물가가 상승할 것으로 예상해 울진사랑카드 혜택 한도액을 기존 50만 원에서 100만 원으로 상향하고, 할인율도 10%에서 15%로 높이기로 결정했다.
이는 가계 부담을 덜고 소비촉진을 통해 지역경제 활성화를 도모한다는 취지다.
지역주민들에게 큰 호응을 얻고 있는 울진사랑카드의 8월 현재 사용액은 350억 원이며, 2023년 인센티브 예산으로 국도비 24억원 포함 총 57억원을 편성했다.
손병복 울진군수는“추석명절을 맞아 울진사랑카드 15% 할인이 지역 소상공인을 비롯한 군민 모두에게 도움이 되길 바란다”며 “최근 정부지침으로 지역화폐 사용 범위가 축소되었지만, 다양한 사업을 발굴해 지역주민들에게 더 많은 혜택이 돌아갈 수 있도록 노력하겠다”고 전했다.
