화장실문화시민연대측은 9월12일자 보도자료에서 “서울시 서문경찰서, 화장실문화시민연대, 서울교통공사 충정로역(2호선), (주)한국스파이존과 함께 불법촬영은 범죄행위라는 캠페인과 시범 시연 등을 서울 충정로역과 홍제역 앞에서 캠페인을 펼쳤다”고 알렸다.
이들 단체 회원들은 캠페인 중 만난 시민들에게 불법촬영 탐지카드를 나눠줬다. 또한 (주)한국스파이존과 불법카메라 찾기 장비를 활용, 충정로 역과 인근의 화장실에서 불법카메라 점검 및 찾는 방법 등의 시연도 벌였다.
서대문경찰서와 화장실문화시민연대, (주)한국스파이존의 불법촬영 캠페인은 9월 12일부터 주 2회 실시해오고 있다.
캠페인에 참여한 사회단체 회원들은 “몰카 등 불법촬영 현장이 발견되면 즉시 112에 신고를 해달라”고 부탁했다.

이날 캠페인에 참여한 서울교통공사 충정로 이교윤 역장은 “언제든 캠페인에 함께 참여하여 힘을 보태겠다”면서 “서울교통공사 화장실을 깨끗이 가꾸듯 이용자분들도 깨끗이 사용해주시길 부탁드린다”고 강조했다.
